Ikea tripping, Bridal Spa & Gubahan appointment

 Hi Ladies,

HAPPY 2015 & SALAM MAULIDUR RASUL!!

So The clock is ticking damn fast. And I hope that it slow down a lil bit. I am done with buying items I think.
On Christmas day me & mummy head down to Ikea just to see what last minute item we can buy.

IKEA
Since its year end season, Ikea do have prices slash quite reasonable for some item though. We walk around, looking for any item that I can decorate my room. So jalan2 nye jalan, I end up splurging my money on something. Ikea mmg tmpt "Puaka" mesti adanya nak beli. So what I have bought at Ikea;

1st) Table Lamp. Since my bedroom set comes with side table, I decided to have this. Just to give some light & deco to my room.

2nd) Candles. I bought some scent candle. I bought Vanilla & also Strawberry smell this time round. There's alot of scent to choose from. Oh there's a popular brand and abit expensivebrand which is Yankee Candle you may try that out too. Usually I place the candle at my toilet & when I bath I will burn it up. Pretending Im in the spa. My mum & my friend encourage me to buy extra's to put at the room so there's abit of "mood" for newly wed actually tak newly wed pun boleh, coz these idea came from the Kakak2 yang sudah kahwin. So okay lah I give it a try who knows it works.

3rd) We bought some curtains, for the house. Just to make it bright & ceria bunga we chose white. So that even my bilik pengantin have a touch of white. Atleast it doesn't really go out of the colour theme for the house.

4th) I totally forgotten to buy cushion for pengantin lelaki & Tok Kadi to sit, lucky me mum reminded me. After a long walk we finally found something which is comfortable to sit and fit the pengantin butt. Haha. Its actually a chair cushion but who cares once it wrap up we wouldnt know it is from Ikea. Hehe. My aunt ill be decorating the cushion. I'll update once my aunt is done with decorating.

I am actually pretty excited about the katil & cupboard to arrive these coming Tuesday coz I wanted to start decorating my bilik. Skg my bilik like macam rumah sewa all my baju is in the luggage sana plastic bag sini plastic bag arrgghh! Confirm plus chop I penat one, tulah siapa suruh kahwin kan dah penat. Nvd penat2 dulu senang2 kemudian.

GUBAHAN APPOINTMENT - with Kak Aida Gubahan Sweetz Creation

So the 1st day of New year 2015 (I still cant believe it is 2015), I went to Kak Aida house with my mum to send all our barang hantaran to her, as my fiance is the kinda that macam heck care even for payment wise he just give me the money and wanted me to manage the payments like seriously fiance? (Lum kawin dah jadi secretary) Anyway she live at Tampines and it is accessible to me. Kak Aida is a cheerful person, My mum & me feel very comfortable. Actuaally I dun have anything in mine for dulang colour shades. I have something in mind for the bridal room which is apple green.

Since my bridal room is partial room package, my room will be like the picture below. So the pink colour will change to Apple green & the white will remain. I wanted to have a lil pastel pink touch for the small pillow cover and the board at the window. Kak Aida will try but if it doesn't match she will remain as white. She will be coming down this coming wednesday to see the layout of my room.

As for dulang from him to her the pattern will be similar like the pictures but  Kak Aida will change some of the details such as the theme will be green instead and the flower gonna be different. I don't really have the idea what I want so I ask her for suggestions and she really give me "BAM2 POW!" ideas which straight away I fall in love with it. She already shown the rough idea and it is really sweet. You ladies may call me green freak coz GREEN is my fav colour and I want everything GREEN from dias, bridal room deco & dulang will be green. 

And as for me to him, my fiance already emphasise that he wanted blue. At 1st I want songket blue kain dulang, but when she showed me A mirror dulang with a little touch of blue, I find it unique and it suit for guys without much hesitation I choose it.

After all about the discussion Kak Aida & mum talk like they known each other for years. We felt comfortable talking to her. Before I went back home, she advise me to be a little fussy, not lot but a little. Errmmm.. I am not a fussy bride & neither I am a bridezilla. I want to be an easy customer so that both party can communicate and work well. So Alhamdullilah so far so good for all my vendors.

Just waiting for my videography & photography to advise me if my itenaray is okay and if they need further clarifications.

So Spa for Brides. I have Google a few spa which actually quite famous. So I narrow down with 5 of this which is,

Out of these 5 spa I have already tried 3 spa's. I have yet to try Spa Le Kraton & Citra Ayu. I am actually spoilt with choices but in the end I think I will choose Citra Ayu Bridal since The price wise is reasonable and it is just 10 mins away from my home. I can actually walk and I can make appointment 2 days b4 my wedding without worrying as I need not travel far as Thurday night I will be having henna night too. I just don't want to waste my time travelling time. But I have a problem coz on that week my menses will come. It will be quite troublesome if its day 1 to day 3 of menses. If its day 5 to day 6 it is okay coz its not heavy flow. So now I cant booked my spa package 1st because of my menses problem. Oh dear! 

Its okaylah, let just see how it will goes like.

Actually I'm supposed to draft out a wedding speech but end up blogging instead. Its quite tiring to think of wedding errand that I find neverend! Haiya. Oklah btw I am just helping a friend out if you ladies need a reasonable price for wedding cards you can actually look at these fb : G cards & Design.

Catering, Bedroom Set, Facial Regime, Ikea & etc

Catering and abit of unrelated info about me…

Alhamdullilah, I have settled 80% of my catering money already. It is a huge sum of amount (paying for non-combined wedding) but I feel so relief that one huge load is off from my shoulder. I can’t believe that I could save that much, living in an average Joe family which my parent can’t afford to fork out huge amount semua settle diri sendiri. I am rather proud of myslf! (haha puji diri sendiri) I think that you could actually feel the satisfaction when you pay for your own wedding. These is the start of feeling the pain of saving money coz when u have family hmm saving habit is very2 important. It’s not easy as one two three. So Alhamdullilah for the rezki given.

Bedroom Set

So I went for Bed & Wardrobe hunting during Christmas Eve before some shop closes. Initially fiance & me wanted to buy a lower budget for wardrobe (my wardrobe decided to die haiya money again) & Bed. We went round and round some nice one is out of stock. The salesperson was really shock that I do a last minute shopping. Haha. Alot of item was sold out I guess year end sales price drop! So I told him my certain amount of budget & thought of taking cheap mattress. But he told me do I have credit card? There's a 0% installment credit card plan. Mum told me since I have it why not just buy the expensive one sekali. So every month you pay the mattress using duit hantaran. Think and think oklah why not? Duit skg spare for emergency use. 

So yeah he showed us a few mattress. And finally a mattress which fits me and Mr fiance criteria. A mattress which have quite a benefits which is:

The sales ask us to try and it is so comfy!! When I move the other side where mum lying doesn't move. So the free item is he give us is crystal accessories at the head board, 2 Dunloppilo pillow & bolster, 1 mattress protector. So yeah we grabbed it!! Yeay off the list. 

Wedding Cards

So last Friday went to collect my wedding card from my caterer with my parents. I am so touched when Kak Nana the one that handle my event watsapp me on regarding my parents on my way back.

Alhamdullilah. I hope that these rapport we build is something to be remembered by both party. Haha! I am so happy and very satisfied with the way Irmaya Wedding treat us. Yesh these caterer worth my praise before the event for their good customer service!

Oh yesh my dad love the card I pick, its simple though. Silver & Gold. I Really like it! :)

Photoshoot Baju

Collected my baju at Sabrina & Wusqa shop on Monday. Bought it for $199 as per my mummy wish. 

Thought that I want to have 1 casual outfit & 1 bridal outfit for photoshoot to save $$ but my mum rejected the idea of having me wearing casual outfit, I have to fork out extra $ for it. Haiz2…. Nevermind. So the outfit looks like an indian contemporary outfit. Yes I have to fork out extra money but I really like it a lot!!! I will reveal the full outfit 3 weeks later.

Beauty Regime (Face, lulur, body wash & feminine wash)

So I have started with my beauty regime. I don't really fancy scrubing my face but since my mum keep nagging me to buy scrub I decided to buy my fav bodyshop cleanser. I am a fan of bath & body works & also Bodyshop shower bath & body scrub. These time round I bought Cranberry smell for both at body shop.  

As for the lulur, my mum force me to buy one so that my skin will became softer and smoother with no "Daki2" stuck on it. I got to agree that Lulur is much2 better then body scrub. Lulur really remove all that impurities from your body and I really like my body texture after lulur. Haha Shiok! Usually I will use it 3 times a week. 

Another important thing that I got to say is feminine wash. My friends keep emphasizing me how important to use suitable feminine wash for ourself. Some can make "that" part drier. Some can make it darker. If not suitable it can make "that" part smelly. (Pardon me for the RA21 talk). It is really important for after marriage life especially after sex. I have been using alot of brands at Watsons from Eve's to Lacyt everything is not suitable for me its either dry or itchy. I decided to hunt for Traditional feminine wash. Went to Albakarah Jamu shop at Geylang. There's a lot of choices for Sirih Feminine wash. I decided to go for Resik V Feminine wash. 

It cost $5. I like the feeling after washing, very "berangin". Not dry & itchy. You know when there's discharge coming out, sometime it can be unpleasant smell. After using these "Alami" feminine wash, the smell is gone!! I like it. I think BTB's should actually try it out. 

So yeah thats it for now. I have lots of thing to say but I will talk about it for my trip to Ikea & Bridal Spa treatment. Till Next Good Nite! (Pray for the flood victims in Malaysia)

Tips for BTB’s: Pls kindly start your savings early. Plan your wedding ikut kemampuan. Besar or kecik majlis nya it’s up to individual. Different people may have different views tak payah nak cakap2 orang sana sini. Just keep it simple, for me spend less on majlis but spend more on honeymoon. Survey each and every vendor before you make a booking. Compare price and service. Have vendor who can talk easily, don’t be too fussy and trust them. They are professionals. Pls don’t boast around keep humble. Do include your parents in your plannings. Some of their views is pretty important.

42 days left.............

Everything almost done for our preparation. 

Next week I gonna PM my Mak Andam and make my one last final payment early since we had money. Gonna email my travel agency for my honeymoon if we can make payment earlier. 

I want to clear these 2 payments these week and next 2 weeks Im gonna make a huge payment for my wedding caterer. Oh Man! It gonna cut a big hole to my DBS account!! Heart pain!!! But whatever it is Alhamdullilah that I manage to save that much money. 

So here is some update:

ROMM

So yesterday, we head down to ROMM for our interview with the Tok Kadi along with my Wali which is my father. Upon reaching since we have apply online we take the queue no. When its our turn, me and my fiance went to the counter with my father IC for verification of certain details and what to be done. After the verification, we have to wait for our turn to be called up by the Tok Kadi. My father went in 1st, follow by fiance and me. When the Kadi mention about something suddenly I felt like I wana cry. Soon my father is gonna handover his responsibility to my future husband. Not that I'm not happy with the marriage but how good is your husband is, it will never be the same as what your father did from what I heard from my frenz. Just hoping that my fiance will just be there thru our ups and down in future.

Wedding Shoes

So I Google about wedding shoes seller in Singapore. So after the research, I narrow down to 3 brands. 

1st) Sinderella Shoes

A wedding shoes brand which sell nice and stunning wedding shoes. I find they are such a beauty but the most of the shoes cost a bomb more than $100. I don't really want to splurge my money on my wedding shoes since I wont be using it unless for wedding invitations so I give it a past. Below are pictures that I have taken from them. If you have bigger budget, you may consider them.

2nd) Pazzion

Pazzion a brand that becoming much2 more popular these days. They carry different sort of shoes from casual to bridal shoes. Their meets my budget BUT I dun find their covered shoes are comfortable to me and the height of the shoes is quite uncomfortable for me to wear it coz I have a very sensitive feet. Always get the pain at the back of the heel if I did not choose my shoes wisely. Sadly I have to give them a past too... Haiz...

3rd) Anna Nucci

My last hope, head down to Vivo with mummy after ROMM appointment. Their shop carried different style of wedding shoes which I love it. With different kind of heights. Different range from close heels, sling back heels and etc. I tried different shoes and I love it. I chose a decent inch for my heels and sling at the back. They have 30% off currently. My heels cost less then $100. I was so happy with it! So comfortable. Hehe. I chose white so that it can match with all my dresses. Well I love it much so you ladies may try to take a look at these 3 shops!

BERKATS & HDB Updates!

Finally I have made a deposits for my berkat last thurs at Teck Leong Kee. Mum decided to go ahead with toblerone 50g. She insisted on giving chocolates to the guest. She just want to give something that people can eat and not all those perhiasan2. Macam2 lah ibu saya so Alhamdullilah, just waiting for 10th Jan 1 week b4 the wedding fr packing. Ouh on the way to the wholesaler, I pass by my future homey. Was happy to see the progress halfway thru already. *faint* Cannot enjoy much oreidi. After end of next year I have to save and save for renovations.

*Sidetrack* Its coming to the end of 2014. Sometimes I think that makin canggih dunia makin cepat maseh berlalu. Makin banyak tanda2 kiamat but still I am not fully equipt with Islamic knowledge. Fiance & me decided to encourage each other to keep going for religious class to prepare ourself for the end of the world. Besides to have a happy marriage, we must get closer to Allah. InShaaAllah may Allah bless guide us thru our path. 

Tomorrow or Monday I'll blog about surveying katil. I hope I can find one at Singapore Expo or else I will just stick to The Green Furnishing. SO yeah goodnite ladies. Till next! :)

Hello Beautiful BTB's!!

Hello everybody,

I have been MIA for 2 months I guess due to certain issues from my fiance side. It is so true that when the date draw nearer, problems came one by one. Brain totally switch off. But then with problem, it makes us stronger then ever before.

Now, I standing up on my feet and starting to run again. Hehe. InShaaAllah. So yeah there's a minor changes in my wedding itinerary. Our solemnization will still be on Saturday, 11am. So from 11am to 530pm, mister fiance will be at my side and 530pm onwards after cake cutting will be going off to fiance side. Mister fiance will held like a "dinner reception" from 4 to 8pm for his close friends and family. So we are pretty cool with this.

Bridal Outfit, Henne & Hand Bouquet
So yeah, we have finally finalised our wedding outfit on the 28th Oct. I had a great time. Kak Hyda and family was very helpful and friendly. I am thankful. Although her collection does not have much variety like other well known established bridal, I am still very satisfied with her baju's because seme lawa2! Blink2 semenye! Saya suka amat! Henna design I'll be choosing it at a nearer date. For hand bouquet Kak Hyda ask me what colour do I want, but I told her anything as long as it is nice. Personally I trust them and I feel very satisfied. Hopefully they will do a great job on the day itself.

Catering, Wedding Dias, Card, Wedding Cake, Bunga Rampai, DJ's and Sireh Darah
Well as some of you know, all of the above had been included in my wedding package. So we meet my wedding planner which is Kak Nana (Kak Maya assistant) last friday at her home as their office is shifting to a new place. So we already choose our cards and my card colour is red and gold in colour. As for my wedding Dais, I have a hard time choosing. I'm not going for pastel colors. So I choose white, dark and light green for the Dais since it is my favorite colours. My wedding cake colour gonna be white and green too. I'm so in love with the green'ssss around me. Haha. Choosen Nasi Briyani for our menu and all the relevant gravy that matches it. For DJ's wise, I'll be meeting the caterer again to finalize the Bertandang and Cake Cutting songs. Once again Irmaya's wedding did a great job, Kak Nana is Patience and really give advises on the planning. We even suggest them extra tables and they didn't charge us anything for photobooth and candy corner. Im so grateful with her. Alhamdullilah once again mum is satisfied with them.

Berkats and Candy Corner

For berkats, we have already chosen ours which is toblerone chocolates. For our candy corners and snacks we gonna top up alil bit. So we gonna order it at this bedok wholesaler shop. You can actually contact them thru email at this website. Quite cheap since they are wholesaler. Do take a look alright.

We are going down to ROMM interview earlier of Dec. So hopefully everything will go smoothly for now. I told my friends how I wish everything end soon. So tiring and exhausted. Then she told me, its okay that you feel the tiring now coz these is one time event. Enjoy the journey. I tell them InShaaAllah.. The only thing I'm excited is that after wedding I can start travelling again. Yippees....!

Quick updates about me life. Currently I am taking makeup course just for the sake of my passion.

The academy that I join is call Colour Face Universite. Currently it is situated at AMK central but soon it is gonna move to lavendar to a bigger space.

These place is actually owned by someone who used to be mediacorp top heads if Im not mistaken. The cost fees is zero $$. Yes, u see it right.  You know why? It is because the course was fully subsidise from govt. Actual cost price is $5K! So here's the catch simce
nce the cost fee is subsidise,your attendance need to be 75% or else you need to pay back $5K to e company. Well you only need to pay $225 for the hairstyling and makeup kit.

ouh yeah, evry once a mth ur company will need you to come for a charity event helping them out. With these you will be receiving $100per mths considering you are working for the company. At the end of this course you end up earning $300. If u fail u r unable to proceed to the nxt level and you wont get the certificate. Rest assure no paying bck if u fail.

So maybe you can try out amd give them a call.

Secondly, I have been googgling about my post wedding photoshoot ideas. And so Im obsess of chalkboard & letter signage. Im aiming both at TYPO or at One of the Bedok Mall souveniors shop. Review on Apkim course yesterday.

Me and Fiance decided to take up a one day course since my fiance working on shift so it kinda hard to find a suitable date. We also do not want to drain our self with two days course because our attention span is short!

I will talk to you about the advantages and the disadvantages of this course. Firstly the course timing is abt 930am to 6pm. We take up a slot on Saturday.

The 1st part of the session is 1 to 1 session with Ustazah. We got quite a good Ustazah and her name is Ustazah Salbiah. 1st of all when we step in we feel comfortable. She know how to make jokes and she is easily approachable. She really explain well about the topic. Most of all she did not looked down on my fiance who is pretty weak on his Ngaji and Islamic knowledge. Oh side track Fiance terkejut when I recite the Alquran he was amaze wahaha!

Ok back on track! I am pretty glad that fiance realize he is weak late last year and he started attending the Islamic classes that I am attending know. Overall I got to give Ustazah Salbiah credit for the good explanation and very approachable.

Second part of the session was a small group session. There is 5 couple in the class. Cik Ranee was the counselor. I tell you he was amazingly funny! And I think that our class couple was all those happy go lucky type of couple. He discuss about character, how to handle each other attitude, why woman tends to speak more then guys, basic Islamic knowledge, sex and more. He was a joker!

He know how to catch audience attention. Ouh me and fiance feeling so awkward when we are the only couple that known each other for 2 years plus when 2 other couples known each other for 5 years and the other 2 couple for 10 years. So it make us kinda paisey lah. Macam tak sabar nak kawin gitu. :P

So overall I find the course was really2 knowleagable and very entertaining! Lucky us! Not much negative remarks that I can give. Location wise it is at Arab street infront of the Golden landmark shopping, near makan2 place and near to the masjid Sultan which we can solat our Zuhur and Asar easily.

Only the disadvantages is these course cost abit more expensive then the 2 days course ($300) and during one day it is quite difficult to squeeze alot of info to us.

1 day or 2 days course is not a matter, all you need to do is to sit down and listens and take note some of the points. Take ustazah/ustaz example for us to learn what is right and what is wrong that we can implement in future. Now marriage course is not compulsory but I find its advisable to go and listens. Seriously it give you more advantages rather then disadvantages. I hope that I can take the guidelines as an example in future. InShaaAllah! :)
